So you've seen the farms where people have flowers growing in a barrel or in the wheelbarrow.
You've tried to do that, but the system won't let you. When you can put down a flower, it's outline is green; when it won't -- then it's outline is red.
So what is the secret?
Paths!!!
Before you can stack items, you must go to Preferences, using the wrench icon.

Turn on "Remove Space Between Fields".

This must be checked for stacking to work.
This page shows the sequence to place a flower in a barrel and in a wheelbarrow.
- I like to start by purchasing everything needed, but you could buy them as you go.

- Move your path pieces over the barrel

- Now that the path is in place, move the flower into place.

- Remove the path. You may have to hide the flower or the barrel (or both), to grab the path.

- Optional: Click Preferences icon, then click the green button to bring your hidden items back.
I've included it here to show you a step-by-step. You can just skip to the next step.

- To see the end result, with the fully grown flower, you need to reload your farm. I often visit a neighbor, then return home.

- That is it. You're done. I hope you don't need to move the planter; if you do -- repeat this procedure in the new location,
- The barrel is very similar. Start with your items.

- Move the paths into place

- Now move the flower(s)

- Now relocate the paths. Remember, you might need to hide the wheelbarrow or the flower(s)

- Reload your farm, to unhide your hidden items, and restore the flowers to their full size.

If you accidently pick up something, while trying to relocate the paths. Click on the Green Walk icon in the toolbar to cancel the pick-up.

Thank you Sarah for letting me use your farm and your coins for my demonstration.
