Facebook's Farmtown Waterfall Stacking

So you've seen the farms where people have a cascading waterfall.
You've moused over them, and realize they are just river corners placed on top of each other.

You've tried to do that, but the system won't let you.
When you can put down a river corner, it's outline is green; when it won't -- then it's outline is red.

So what is the secret?
Paths!!!

This page shows the sequence to place a river corner onto another river corner to make a waterfall.

Before you can stack items, you must go to Preferences, using the wrench icon.

Turn on "Remove Space Between Fields".

This must be checked for stacking to work.

WARNING:

Stacked items on your farm:

May cause your farm to crash your browser

May cause your hired harvesters to crash their browser

May cause movement on your farm to be slow

I like to start by purchasing everything needed, but you could buy them as you go.

Move your first River Corner into place

Move your paths pieces onto the first (top of the waterfall) river corner piece

Now that all the paths are in place, move the river corner piece into place.

Remove the paths if you're done, or move them ALL into a new location.

Now that you've moved all the paths, and put them back where you need them. Pick up the next river corner, and put it into place.

Move the paths again

Now that all the paths are in place, move the river corner piece into place.

When you're done, remove the paths. Otherwise continue.

Decorate the edges of your waterfall to give it a 3-Dimensional look. Many people like hedges or stone walls. The use flowers to conceal the rough edges. For a better flowery look, allow some flowers to fully grow; but stop others midgrowth (click on a partially grown flower, and "freeze growth". The round pool at the bottom is just the bottom of my waterfall, and the other three river corner sections.
To create a different look, you may enjoy the look of cascading pools, rather than just a waterfall. To do this, follow the above steps, but offset the river corners
If you accidently pick up a river corner, while trying to relocate the paths. Click on the Green Walk icon in the toolbar to cancel the pick-up

Then continue

You may find yourself unable to grab a path to move it. When this happens, try hiding the river corner. This may make the path disappear, or it may make it so you can grab it. If the path disappears with the river corner, then click on the wrench icon (Preferences), then click the big green checkmark. This makes hidden items reappear (and is quicker than reloading your farm).
After all the paths are removed, don't forget to unhide.

Sit back and admire your new cascading pools.

Decorate the edges to hide the rough edges, and give the farm the 3-D look
